Piano Masterclass & Department Overview

Manhattan School of Music offers a range of educational opportunities for undergraduate and graduate pianists. This virtual event will provide prospective students, teachers, and families with a taste of the MSM piano experience and a summary of the application and audition process. Marc Silverman, Piano Department Chair and acclaimed recitalist, soloist, and chamber musician, will provide a program overview. MSM piano faculty member Daniel Epstein will teach current student Tianhao Wu a lesson focused on Franz Schubert’s Piano Sonata in A minor D. 845 (Op.42), and MSM piano faculty member Alexandre Moutouzkine will teach a current student Huanyan Zhang a lesson focused on Brahms Op. 118 No. 1. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions. We hope to see you there!
